Evergreen Marine

Hey,

Been offered a place with the above company through SSTG and should be going for a second interview with Evergreen soon (although I understand this is more of a presentation than a standard interview).

Obviously done a bit of research on the company and they look fairly good. I understand the crew will primarily be from the far east, although I have no issues with this and given the worldwide nature of the industry don't see this as a surprise.

Anyone went through a cadetship with them or have any further informtation about them?

Sounds like a good company, I know a couple of people who work for Evergreen. They seem happy

i tried to get on with the big green but they dont take on engineers so

A friend of mine is taking an engineer HND through them, hes currently at sea, says his crew is Philippines, but the accommodation is very good

ahh may not be taking on this year . or may have been already full for engineers.

I got offered a place with them also. I took the offer from OOCL though but not much in it really.

I guess with all the big players, provided you get a good crew they are all going to be pretty good.
