  • Interview with RCCL, need advice!!

    Hello everyone,

I finally got interview with RCCL on 26th july-day after tomorrow . Although I have been preparing for this day I am bit nervous about it because this is my very first interview. I have read through the interview tips forum and it has been very helpful so far

It is a very short notice but Has anyone been to RCCL interview for deck?? what type of questions do they ask??
any advice or tips from anyone would be much appreciated.
    Thanks

Hi there mate! How did your interview go? I'm starting in September at Warsash and as far as I know i'm the other RCCL deck cadet! Was yours a direct interview or though clyde marine?

Hi mate, can I ask was yours direct or through clyde? If through clyde, when did you specify you wanted to work for RCCL? Was it at interview or at application? Cheers

Hi there it was though Clyde marine. At the end of the interview when asked if I had an questions for them I asked about the likelihood of being placed with any company I chose. We then discussed the companies I would prefer and discussed the pro's and cons of tankers vs passenger ships which made it clear what I wanted. The interviewer said he would send my info straight to RCCL and a couple of days later I got called for a second interview this time at RCCL's UK offices (before my place with clyde had been confirmed) this was about a week after my 1st interview and then I was offered the place in my interview at the RCCL office! Hope that helps and any other questions do ask.
