Re: Onboard Bond
same as anywhere else I believe, 18.
Some other ships may have 21 as an age restriction. You may also be subject to a 21 restriction if you are sailing in US waters.
If you're on a carnival ship you're not supposed to drink spirits till you're over 21

Randomist, I don't suppose you might know - are cigarettes sold on board in cartons/packs? Are the prices duty free?sigpicHello! I'm Chris. I'm away a lot so I'm sorry if it takes me a while to reply to messages, but I promise I'll get back to everyone. If it's urgent, please email me directly at [email protected].

Re: Onboard Bond
Prices are duty free, once ship is at sea, that's when all trading opens.
There are new rules in place on P&O that forbid crew buying cigarettes from the passanger shops (apart from the odd pack or two in the bars)
Cartons can be purchased at a significantly reduced price from the officer's wardroom and crew bar. Your staff discount will apply in passenger areas but prices are best in the wardroom/crew bar, so it's best to buy them there and avoid the senior officers having an excuse to say something if you get seen buying from shops.

Re: Onboard Bond
It depends what USCG say, it doesn't matter about the state you're heading for, mostly it's about the fact you're in their waters.
The Americans are funny about things.
Didn't realise some states still sold ciggs to 16's

Re: Onboard Bond
I really should stop, but the fact I got cheap cigarettes while flying and the prospect of cheap cigarettes in future make it all the more difficult. Bah!sigpicHello! I'm Chris. 16 to smoke legally in non public place . 18 to purchase cigs. and on certain college campus you are not allowed to smoke in the grounds . but if its a live in college or a ultra large college you can smoke in designated smoking places only. otherwise you will have to go outside the gates.Maybe I will never be
