Yeah, mate. That's where I asked for. Don't know if it was just for engine discipline or both.

Yeah sounds okay should get that sorted then! And I asked for South Tyneside if possible but Im starting to think that it will probably be full, in which case it'll be Southampton.

Just to mention, I didn't get the college that I asked for during the interview, but anyway I guess we were told to be flexible!

the ENG1 is a fairly quick process. You will get a list of where you can go to get it done. One of them was fairly local to us so i just rang and got an appointment after work no problem. The visa is a little more complicated but you get a choice of date so do it when is easier for you. Good luck with it all !

Well done on geting in Joel !!! The info pack contains everything you need to know and more. Which college you going to? I am going to South Tyneside and although it says the start date may be 9th Sept, south tyneside tell me that the course starts on 2nd Sept, so be prepared for both ! Im off for my visa interview next week and then im good to go. For your info there is a facebook page 'Maersk cadets 2013' were everyone is meeting up! come and join us and look forward to seeing you in Eskdale in July !

Pretty sure my pack said to have an ENG 1 copied by the 2nd of June, but I received my pack last week, so I'd imagine there will be an extra week or so to yours.

    Hi Joel,
    Congratulations on your place!
Off the top of my head, our outdoors stuff is 31st July - 4th August. And start date for college is 9th September. The visa was about a 10 day wait for me and if your travelling from sub-England to London you'll need a day off for going to the embassy. Not sure on the ENG1, we had to have ours in a while ago so I assume it'll just be as soon as you can. Nice work experience...!
    Hope that helped. Patrick.

    Maersk Cadetship - Info

    Hi,

I was recently invited to an interview with Maersk after applying for 2014 but was put in for the extra 2013 spaces. I received a phone call confirming my acceptance into the programme around a week later so I'm really pleased about that and I've gone from not planning to start for another year to actually starting in a few months!

I'm currently waiting for an info pack in the post but haven't had it yet. There are a few questions I've been thinking about such as dates I'll need free before September to get a visa and to do the team building exercises I was told about at the interview. I currently work 7 days a week so I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of time I'll need off. Also does anyone know how far in advance the ENG1 has to be completed before you start? I'm planning to do a few more days work experience on the Svitzer tugs where I live before I start to get a bit more experience.

    Cheers

    Joel
