Had mine in Febuary, still no news other than an E-mail to say that my details are being kept on file following an interview. Called them yesterday to see if there had been any updates and got told that they are currently waiting for the colleges to confirm their intake numbers for September and then they'll start letting people know. I have heard that a few applicants have already been sent offers but this could be for any one of number of reasons. The rest of us are just going to have to wait it out I guess. -
I had my interview with CMT for an Engineering cadetship earlier this month and was told at my interview that i would hear back within 2-4 weeks. A few days later i received an offer of sponsorship. Quite lucky really, I couldn't wait to hear back from them following my interview, and if i was made to wait as long as some have on here I'd have driven myself crazy.
I would just keep looking for more companies to apply to, giving yourself as much chance as possible to gain entry and hopefully it should also take your mind off waiting to hear back from Clyde Marine.Comment

Last I heard was the same, waiting for September intake numbers. I really hope there's a place. But from what I could make from the interview, if you're successful at interview, all you're waiting for then is a place. Could someone confirm or clarify this?

That's the plan there Rush. Well done on getting the offer!
All I know for sure is that if anyone's interview assessment sheet read "no hoper" then they would have absolutely nothing to gain from keeping them waiting for an offer they have no chance of getting for a job they are not convinced that person can do. Makes far more sense to reject the application and not have them calling the office every 5 minutes!
When giving out the offers before knowing the recruitment limits I suppose they will have to be a little cautious, otherwise they risk giving more offers than they can possibly honour, so I suppose it stands to reason that some applicants will find themselves in purgatory for the time being.The waiting game is a pain but I suppose we're all guaranteed to find out sooner or later!

I sent my application form in January, phoned up in mid march inquiring about the delay which resulted in me changing my interview location to Glasgow had an interview on Monday the 22nd of April and got an offer the next day....Anyone else under 18 going to Glasgow in September hopefully or for definite ? and the best of luck to everyone waiting for a reply!Comment

In my case i got an email with loads off forms to fill in attached and also a letter offering the place.
"we are delighted to offer you full sponsorship to train on the MNTB approved Course, your First Certificate of Competency and HNC Nautical Science."
those are the exact words, the rest of the letter talks about the conditions of the offer (medical and reference) and some rough information on the course and the offer hope that helps.Comment

No that was my first ever interview also I only applied to Clyde so that has been my only ever interview.Comment

I had my interview with Clyde on the 23rd in london too. I then had a second interview with Royal Caribbean today and they offered me a Cadetship starting in September at Warsash!! I am so happy and this forum was very helpful during my application process. I hope all of you still waiting hear back soon.Comment
