i know there is clyde marine and maersk but im nt sure what others. I am looking to apply for all that use glasgow college. If any1 could list all the names of sponsoring companies that use glasgow id b greatful

I know they stopped for a while due to "concerns about the standards" but I think IIRC that they've stated again.Comment

Yeah Glasgow college is short staffed and a lot of useless lecturers, that's engineering side though can't speak for deck side. SSTG and Clyde are the two main ones. A few otheres like Princess Cruises, BP(mainly overseas students though). SSTG and Clyde are your best bets.Comment

This has been done to death, all companies can potentially send cadets to any of the colleges and this will change with training manager preferences, actual college places available and the phases of the moon.
The chances of being sent away from home are high, the largest user of Glasgow appears to CMT, everyone else come and go as required to fit their own needs etc.
If no one has anything of value to add in the near future then this thread will be closed as it appears to have served it's purpose

We were told at our interviews that Maersk won't be sending anyone to GCNS this year at least (and likely for a few years until they prove that certain issues have been resolved). But I'm sure once they get sorted Maersk will send people there again. Any list is going to be out of date each year as companies change their mindsOriginally posted by mak View PostComment
