I was thinking of making a facebook group for Maersk cadets starting in September, so we can get in touch with each other/share experiences blah blah blah. Basically a Maersk roll call, instead of say a WMA roll call, since we don't know for certain where we're going yet. Is this something that Maersk may have a problem with because it associates anything we say in the group with them? Or will they not care? I just don't want to jeapordise my place because I started a group which they don't approve of, or someone says something stupid in a group I created and get blamed for.

I can't see anything wrong with it and would love to find out who I could be training with in Septemeber. It would be worth putting something in the group description though that stated that the page was cadets for september 2013 and in no way represented the views or opinions of Maersk ect (like they have on DVDs :-P) also I would avoid using a Maersk logo or anything like that

Decided to make a secret group. Only members can even see the existence of the group. If anyone wants to join, PM me for my facebook and I'll add you to the group

Don't worry about that. The copyright act only applies if the person using the copyrighted logo/slogan etc is making money from it, which he is not.

I meant to distance the group from Maersk itself. It seems less representative of the company to not use the logo. Using the logo in a way associates the group directly to Maersk which is what we wanted to avoid
