Been a bit quiet on here last couple of days. How are people getting on? Must be a few offers here and there. Anybody know where they will be in September?

Had my interview on the 13th guy said it would be at least a week before we got any letter like anticipation is killing me lol

Still nothing in writing yet! I gave Clyde a ring and they said that they will try to dish out offers etc March time how are you getting. On jj-1994?

I have recently been accepted for placement from CMT, I have been doing some research on which companies to choose for sponsorship. Any help with that? Also alot of people on this dont give CMT a very favourable feed back, why is this?

Dunno, my experience with them was fine.

As for sponsoring company, it's rare to get the one you pick. So choose companies in the field you'd like to end up in as an officer. And if you're thinking of picking Royal Caribbean, bare in mind there is usually only 2 spaces per year, and LOTS of people pick them. Just don't be disheartened if you get Zodiac, I did, and had a great time.

Clyde get more stick then they deserve. At the end of the day you get your sponsorship and you get your ticket. With some of their sponsor companies you get a good variety of ship types and I've actually heard very few complaints about the training from any of my coursemates. They recruit and train more cadets than any of the other companies and while this might give the impression of a training mill, who really cares when you get to the same place in the end?

As tlloyd said, don't bother putting RC or Disney down. Research the other companies and make an informed choice and hopefully you'll get it.

Yeah I hear its extremely competitive for the cruise industry. Im thinking of Chevron (I hear that's also very competitive) and British marine.
