  • After Clyde Marine interview?

    Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the process with Clyde Marine or if they know how long things take?

Once you have done the interview (I did mine in January) then how long does it take for them to start giving out offers etc (not conditionals but actual offers)?

    Thanks,

I got my offer about 2 weeks after my interview but that was for Feb intake at fleetwood which I turned down. I've decided not to be considered for their September intake at all so that's all I know about that

I waited for just under two weeks, I think that's the average amount of time but some people it was days others weeks and weeks.

I got my offer via Email an hour after my interview, Someone else I know who went through Clyde got the same. They seem pretty quick at dealing with it! That's my experience anyway.

Aye I got mine just before I left the interview. Got the final docs a little while later...
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....

              Hi salty
Like you i did my interview in Jan and i have had an email telling me that they are just sorting the Jan/feb lot out and will then hear from the sponsoring companies about numbers for september. They will then be in a position to forward my application. I am not eligable for the FD course as i have not done A levels. I have heard it can take some time! The interview seemed to go well and they have not terminated my application as a result and so i am trying to remain positive!

I think we are in the same position. They already said that my interview went well etc and I take it yours did too. Will they be offering us sponsorship or are we just on a maybe pile? e.g. They have 1000 people that they sent the email (that we both received but only intend on giving out 500 cadetships? If you get what I mean.

                    Hi Guys and Gals,

Providing you have 2 arms and 2 legs and have done a little bit of research once you get an interview with CMR you are in as long as you dont make a complete arse of the interview, I have never heard of anyone getting knocked back. Quite simply they have so many places to fill they cant afford not to take anyone.

Thank you so much for putting my mind at ease! I take it you have personal experience or no of people?

Quite a long wait :/ But at least they offered you a place! Did you chase it up or did you just wait? Were there many people in your position?

                            Saltydog,

I do indeed although it was a fair few years ago now, its easy for me to say but don't be nervous. I hope you have applied for other companies as well and not put all your eggs in one particular basket not that I think you wont get it just that there are better places to complete a cadetship.

                              Hello IFHP,

I have applied to other companies but Clyde seem to be the ones with the most communication. When you say that there are better places, what do you mean? Does Clyde have a bad reputation? They seem to be okay so far :/
