Looking to apply for sept 13's intake

Hi guys

I'm looking to apply to maersk not long after xmas for sept 13 intake but i have heard there is no january intake for maersk how much harder would this make being taken in.
I would love to be a deck cadet as a few of my friends are in maersk and love it!

I have also struggled looking where to apply for a deck cadet.
If anyone can help me i would greatly appreciate it

I have also emailed a lady called alison boyer who is from a maersk office in my home city of newcastle and have found out about an open day at south shields college in February

cheers guys, briefly looking into other companies going to wait and see if i get a reply tomorrow from who i've contacted at maersk and hopefully set the ball rolling just wondering. with maersk in particular i know there will be a huge amount of people applying but does anyone know approx how long it takes from applying to getting an interview if you get to that stage! i need to buy myself a new suit lost abit baggage since i applied for raf last year haha!

You would be best applying sooner rather than later, with Maersk not having a Jan intake they take applications up to mid/end of January and then have interviews in February, I applied around this time last year and had the interview in mid February and was told I had the cadetship by mid March

ah thanks mate nice i've hit a rock though i dont have 5 gcse's A-C but lots of equivalents so going to ring up places tomorrow and see where i stand i may have to resit at college and try for 2014!
