Clyde Marine, SSTG, Maersk, James Fisher and Trinity House
Applied for these companies just under a month ago and have had an interview with Clyde but haven't heard from the others. I was wondering if anyone has applied to these companies recently and if they have been given an interview etc.

Ok cheers. Would of thought I would stand a good chance as I've done a lot of offshore yacht racing. Just hope Clyde get back to me soon regarding the result of my interview.Comment

That would go in your favour I would guess, just gotta remember all these offices have alot of applications and people to sort through, when I applied I phoned twice I think but I'm not all that patient at timesBe what you want to be not what other people tell you to be

From what people have said on here a month is not a long time to wait- some people have spent years applying! Carnival called me two monhts after I'd started my cadetship to ask if I was still interested!!Comment

not sure Maersk are doing January intake......
Just cheked...no Jan intake this year for Maersk, next intake Sept 13Trust me I'm a Chief.

I suggest you give them a ring and politely ask if there is any update, it shows that you are keen and chasing after a place. the only way I got my frist job as an officer was because i kept calling the office, i think they just wanted me to stop calling them i got a job doing 6 weeks on/off instead of 4 months on 2 months just through being eager. Don't badger them like, no camping outside of houses with signs or nothing creepy like that =] good luck!Comment

I had a reply from SSTG within 20 minutes. No word from Maersk, Chiltern or Shell though. Got my interview with SSTG on Monday. I'm applying for SeptemberComment

James Fisher interview was good, the staff there are all very nice and give you lots of info if you ask for it.Comment
