So after my second attempt at the telephone interview I have now got a face to face interview with BP at the beginning of October for a deck officer cadet, I'm excited and nervous, anyone else in the same position, deck or engineer?

Good luck!
If this is your first interview then don't be put off if you have 2 or 3 interviewers it's quite common and quite often works in your favour!

I had 2 interviewers, it was all very well explained what to expect, how to prepare etc in the emails they sent beforehand, although it was my first 'proper' interview.
I know someone else on here had 3 interviewers but they were going for the engine route, not sure if that is related.

When I had my interview for BP I had 2 C/E and a Captain. I think it's a good way to interview because if you answer a question you are more likely to be understood by one or all of them.
I choose P&O Nedlloyd in the end but I know BP provide outstanding cadetshipd, when will you hear if you were successful?www.the-mariner.co.uk

We should hear in 2 weeks which is a good time scale i think, better than having to wait for months.
My interviewers were the the training manager for cadets and (i think) a Captain or at least someone with a good few years experience, after the 'by the book' questions were completed he asked me a couple of simple coll regs questions because of my current job as a small pax ferry skipper.
