  • Can I be a cadet at 21?!

Hey guys!!!! I'm currently studying psychology at uni and I'm really interested in doing a cadetship after uni when I'm around 21 years of age...
Is this possible? Will I get put to the bottom of the list because I'm older? Also will my degree in biological Pyschology also help towards getting a cadetship?

Thanks guys this means the world to me!

I'm 21 and starting my cadetship in September, also, theres a few cadets older than me on here, so I don't think being older puts you at the bottom on the list!
Hell, I am young. I am free. My teeth are clean. The sun shines. To hell with everything else.

age really isnt a problem, im a decade older :P as for the degree, it will show that you have worked through at a higher level of education so have the ability to motivate and study, but other than that its not a relavant subject so its not a big plus.
you can take it with a pinch of salt, but i prefer it with a nip of whisky

21 would be considered 'average' these days - your degree will not help 'towards' the academic requirement for the training, by which I mean it will not buy you any time off the course, but proven academic commitment will stand you in good stead. Good luck.
