  • BP shipping

A few weeks back I found out that BP had accepted me for the September intake at Warsash. I was just wondering if anyone else on here will be with BP from September and if anyone who has recently been on one of their ships could explain what they are like( facilities etc)

    Many thanks (:

No Visa stuff sent to me yet. I've just arranged my medical in London for the end of June so I have a feeling they may want me to pass all that first. I was quite shocked at my warsash placement as I live only 20 minutes away aha

All congrats on getting BP cadetships! I would like to get in with BP, but for September 2013! There's quite a few videos on youtube from the British Cormorant if you look hard enough, all looks good!
All views are my own and not that of my employer/training company.

              Hi Ben 1994,

I'm also starting in September with BP however at Fleetwood as a Deck Cadet. A guy on my street works for BP and he describes the standard of living onboard as some of the best he has experienced, I guess that should be expected for such long trips!

It's funny as this was one of the first things I asked him. However, he went on to tell me that it's such a great company to work for and the training is highly regarded.

So I count myself lucky to have got a sponsorship as I don't think there are that many of us and I think many applied!

I'll be at Fleetwood, although I was looking forward to going to Warsash to be honest! Just finished my course so need to wait to see if I'll get the 160 ucas points required.

I guess they're waiting for everyone to recieve their results and pass medicals before sorting out the visas etc. Anyway, I'm sure we'll all meet each other during the induction

Thats a lovely "Coffin" or Membrane type LNG carrier. Very cool stuff...
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.....
