  • Late Substitution

    At in interview on thursday with CMT, i was told that there had been dropouts at colleges around the country, and theres a possibility that i could be a late substitute for the people who have dropped out;

    If i am offered this and i take it, will there be much catching up to do? i understand that its only been the first week so far but i may have missed important things?

    No dropouts at my local college im afraid Which is a shame, because i only live 2 miles away from it and i am more than willing to jump straight into a substitution there!

    Any advice will be appreciated

    As far as I'm aware the starting date for WMA is the 23rd of January. It may be worth looking into?

        Whats your local college? What level course you on? FD, HNC/D? Deck or engine?
        I know fore sure that the HNC deck don't go back till the 13th of February at South Tyneside

            If your serious about starting in January then I suggest you call them tomorrow morning when the office opens. I'm starting the FD Deck course at WMA on the 23rd, but I'm also aware engine cadets have the same start date. Hypothetically speaking, if CMT contacted the college tomorrow and secured your place you would have to seriously get into turbo drive in regards to organising travel, getting gear, stationary, math revision etc... I'm not saying this to be a dick, I'm telling you this because it's the truth! I've been getting sorted since before Christmas. In that way I'm lucky I'm sorted, because my appendix went on Thursday. I'm praying I'll have recovered at least enough to go to lectures ha. Anyway, good luck mate, let us know how you get on.

            *ps. STC is my local college as well, I just chose WMA to get use to home sickness etc.
