I was just wondering what colleges/ universites i have to apply directly to the sponsoring companies or through UCAS

You apply to the sponsor companies, and if successful, they'll deal with the college stuff. You can apply online or send an application or cover letter/CV to them in the post.

they have a list of all the sponsoring companies and and training organizations on their. then you can just ping a cv of to the email addresses or follow the links to the websites.
