  • HND Aerospace.

Hey girls and guys currently in the raf leaving in the next few years! (bit fed up of it need a change!)
I ve just finished a HNC in aerospace engineering. I have the option to finish a full HND in six months if I want.
Does anyone know what the MCA give you of the full cadet ship with a HNC in aerospace? Has anyone else gone for the 18 month course with a similar qualification? I know I can write to the MCA just after a rough idea in advance! Thanks in advance!

Not sure whether you'll get any exemptions to be honest, would seriously depend on what engineering skills could be applied across. Give the MCA a call or e-mail, they are the only ones that could give you a straight answer (although that also depends on who you speak to).

Stuff like maths may be transferable. Not sure about anything else.

Most people start their cadetships as a full cadet on a 3 year course. If you can, most colleges will fast track you and do the hard work of sorting paperwork out.

thanks guys looking at it most of the maths and science is the same, I spoke to the mca they said id have to write in but they had other HNDs on their list so i ll see how i go! the fast track would be alot more desirable than the 3 year cadetship as im thirty and not getting any younger! :-)
