What can I be doing?

Hello everyone,

I'm starting as Deck at GCNS in Sept. I'm currently unemployed, so have therefore got a lot of spare time, I was wondering if there was anything I could be doing to give me a bit of a head start for when the course starts?

Edit - Can reply in a bit more detail now I have a bit more time.

The Maths centre website linky is a good place. The wiki here does have a guide for maths stuidies for deckies and eng.

Generally speaking basic numeracy, interpolation, Basic algebra ( transposition, linear , quadratic and simultanious equations ), Trig.

Interpolation, trig and transposition are what I have used the most to date.

At the start of the course you should get a maths test to see where you are. Results dont count for anything it is there to gauge your maths ability. In the 1st phase they re-teach the maths you will need.

Is best to get a head start if you are weak to save spending alot of time later on which you could spend doing other studies/stuff.

Anyone know of any good websites for maths revision. I was pretty good at school maths but that was nearly 10 years ago. So could use a refresher.

mathscentre.ac.uk - Pretty useful I have found, plenty of revision tools available.

haha just finished the first paper of my exam well i might get a A by about a point messed a few up due to well stressing and miss understanding I shouldn't get any worse than a B

i used bbc bitesize for gcse revision questions for my interview, it really helped
