  • Part-time job during Study

Couldn't find this anywhere else, so here goes...

I know the studying is important and obviously full-time education can be pretty full on, but is there much time for part time work outside of college?

And are their any current cadets that can say hold down a bar job or even a weekend job without affecting their performance at college?

    Cheers in advance!

For phase 1 it would be possible too if you feel confident with the work, Phase 3 however is a lot more intense, bar jobs aren't too hard to come by but finding a job that can be flexible around your studying/college time might be a bit harder.

From my experience with part time jobs in school, I'd say you're better going for a big supermarket rather than a bar, as they're more likely to give you set hours, as well as being more sociable than say working in a bar. You're also less likely to be called in on days off or asked to come in early, because they're unexpectedly busy.

The reality is you should be fine with an evening job, as long as you aren't doing more than maybe 12-15 hours, as even in third phase, you can bet most of the cadets will still find plenty of time for partying, going to the gym, having the odd weekend home etc... It's all about prioritising

I doubt it... and if you do get a P/T job, and then do badly in some part of the course, it won't look so good.
