If I am successful with my application. I was wondering if in the sea time phases, If I managed to squeeze out any spare time would I be allowed to somehow manage to do a little bit of fishing off of the ship? as I have just read about people who have managed it in the past....

alot of the filipino crew like to go fishing when the ship is in port or at anchor so i dont see why not. Alot of the ships i have been on have their own fishing rods aswell.

Container ships doing 20+knots not ideal for fishing off

Supply Boats the, rigs etc dont like fishing gear within 500mtrs of the legs / sub sea structures

At anchor or idel and not steam, droping a line of the back end is a pleasant waste of a few hours, but depending on where and when you are as to wether its possible or not.

Perhaps, but the fish still like the taste of that nice clean treated water. (Note I said "sewage plant" rather than "sewage")
