I had my interview with CM last year, start of December I think and when I was interviewed I got told I'd be put in the Professional Diploma course. I have the qualifications to do the BSc yet I cannot remember why I couldn't do it....hmmm :think: Is the BSc course getting phased out by any chance??

they are apparently a level 4, 5, or 6 qualification - but not a degree!

I don't quite get what the point is... it sounds like a HND with bells on... if that's the case, then UCAS points may not apply for admissions in the way they do with FDs.
It seems like they don't do a BSc in that at GCNS.
I wouldn't worry... you get all the stuff you need to work... then you can top up later without having to suffer student subsistance living!Emeritus Admin & Founding Member -

The professional diploma is the Scottish equivalent of the Foundation Degree - Foundation Degree's do not exist in Scotland.
As far as I am aware, University of Strathclyde / Glasgow University offer a joint degree with GCNS (or at least did when I first applied as it was one of my options).
If you really want to do the degree, ask some other companies as it is possible that the company you have applied to doesn't want to send cadets to the BSc course.

It was just out of curiosity really because I couldn't remember what the interviewer told me...whoops!
