Induction	21 weeks	STCW Basic Training - including Fire Fighting and First Aid General Induction to the shipping industry
Phase 2	29 weeks	At Sea
Phase 3	29 weeks	HNC/D - subjects include: Meteorology Cargo Operations Voyage Planning Shipboard Management Ship Construction Marine Operations Command Management
Phase 4	47 weeks	At Sea
Phase 5	43 weeks	Consolidation of Work Based Learning and any outstanding academic assessments prior to the award of: HND in Marine Operations Successful completion of MCA Oral examinations leads to award of initial: MCA Certificate of Competency STCW short courses: Medical First Aid, AFF, PSC & RB, GMDSS,NARAS, EDH MCA Orals Preparation

Phase 1	27 weeks	Foundation Degree - subjects include: Maritime Analytical Methods Navigation Ship Operations STCW Basic Training - including Fire Fighting and First Aid General Induction to the shipping industry
Phase 2	26 weeks	At Sea
Phase 3	22 weeks	Foundation Degree - subjects include: Meteorology Cargo Operations Voyage Planning Shipboard Management Ship Construction Marine Operations Command Management
Phase 4	58 weeks	At Sea
Phase 5	15 weeks	Consolidation of Work Based Learning and any outstanding academic assessments prior to the award of: Foundation Degree (FdSC) in Marine Operations STCW short courses: Medical First Aid, AFF, PSC & RB, GMDSS, NARAS, EDH MCA Orals Preparation Successful completion of MCA Oral examinations leads to award of initial: MCA Certificate of Competency
