    RFA Deck Recruitment

    Afternoon all,

I've been looking at applying to the RFA for a deck cadetship, but I've read a fair bit recently about how they only recruit sporadically.

Having spoken to the company on the phone, they said they were looking for people to send to AIB for a June 18 entry.

My question is whether anyone knows how many deck cadets the RFA typically recruit, and how many applicants they normally have in a cycle?

    Thanks!

    Hey there,

I would recommend that you keep an eye on the 'Who is still recruiting' sticky which currently states the RFA's cadet intake numbers for its future intakes.

    Best of luck!

They take about 12-13 a year. Very popular

Best of luck with it - put an application in and see what happens. Be advised that the application process takes a fair while.

I presume the RFA are still the best paying cadetship?

Maybe.....but some oil majors might not be far behind or more in your pocket aa RFA are employed and pay tax and NI.
